The work is assigned to the Unit for Pharmacokinetics and Drug Metabolism at the Institute of Neuroscience and Physiology's Department of Pharmacology. The unit conducts research in the field of biopharmacy, carries out postgraduate education, and is also responsible for basic and advanced level teaching within the pharmacist and dispenser programs. Teaching is conducted in Swedish and English. The department hosts extensive and successful research and teaching in the field of pharmacokinetics. That we now invite applications for two new senior positions in this area should be regarded as an expression of a strong ambition to further strengthen our position in this field.
SUBJECT AREA DESCRIPTION: Pharmacokinetics is the study of the absorption, distribution, degradation and excretion of drugs. JOB ASSIGNMENTS:a) Conducting independent research in the field of pharmacokinetics with associated supervision of PhD students. Generating external research funding. b)Teaching and examination at basic and advanced levels within the pharmacy and dispenser programs. Supervision and examination of aster theses. Course development and course management. c) Certain other administrative duties.
ELIGIBILITY: The general qualifications for academic positions in Sweden are given in Chapter 4, Section 3-4 of the Swedish Higher Education Ordinance. PhD exam, demonstrated scientific and teaching expertise and a graduate degree in pharmaceutical science. ASSESSMENT: In the assessment, equal emphasis will be placed on pedagogical skills and scientific skills, respectively. Depending on his/her formal pedagogic qualifications, the successful candidate may be asked to complete an educational training program within the first year of employment.
