The Lead UX Engineer is a key role that sees a strong partnership with product leadership and senior stakeholders across the business, you will own and drive the design narrative of our product portfolio. The role covers product and design strategy, innovation, driving data-based decisions and design culture transformation.
As we are moving from being a traditional software development company into an agile software service company you will play an active role in this transformation journey. Moreover, you will also represent Scandinavia in our pan-European UX community as well as engage with global design leaders within our company.
You will be part of the Scandinavian Product Management Team and help manage the tactical decisions to support the ongoing development but also help steering our strategy towards UX taking a central position in the deciding on initiatives as we go forward. Having an understanding of the two aspects to this role will be critical for succeeding.
Office location will be in either Gothenborg, Sweden or in Aarhus, Denmark.
Roles & responsibilities:
Important stakeholder in the development of the Product strategy
Inform the strategic roadmap through user-needs analysis
Visualise end-to-end journeys that support key business and user goals and metrics and help communicate the product vision
Develop and maintain an up-to-date knowledge of industry trends
Design strategy
Create a design culture that delivers excellent experiences to users, using e.g. Design Thinking and Lean UX methodologies.
Champion and embed our design system as a key enabler for all cloud teams
Ensure our user journeys across our mobile and desktop products are responsive and adaptive and meet the needs of our customers
Ultimately responsible for design output providing a consistent, coherent experience that supports UX and UI principles and best-practice
Introduce new ideas and ways to explore and test them quickly (innovation)
Driving data-based decisions
Have a well-defined research strategy that provides us with valuable insights on how to improve our UX experience
Measure the impact of design activities on business and user outcomes
Put in place KPIs and the tools to track those
Spread learning and knowledge sharing across the organisation
Ensure we have constructive and open dialogue with our customer so that we understand how they use our products

About you:
Background in UX/UI work within Cloud Application development projects
Leadership experience within software development
Experience with modern development and agile methodologies (e.g. SAFE/Scrum)
Fluent English, both written and verbally
Leadership skills
Communication skills

In addition, experience from any of the following areas would be desirable:
Understanding of the traditional Windows development paradigms, limitations and tooling
Part of transition from legacy type of development to being design centric and data driven
Hands-on experience of design sprint workshop, lean UX etc
Understanding of opportunities and limitations of modern cloud software architecture principles (e.g. microservices, containers, service contracts, scalability)
Large scale agile methodologies (e.g. SAFe)
UX driven development (e.g. user research, interaction design, usability)
