For our Headquarters in Bad Homburg (Frankfurt area) we are searching for a:

Lead NVH Engineer (m/f)

Responsibilities

• Supports the Product (Lead) Engineers and Lead Application Engineers in all NVH related questions, both internally and with the customer
• Strong link and communication with AAM Corporate NVH team
• Work closely with Test- and Gear Engineers
• Works closely with plant Manufacturing Engineering to ensure NVH robust manufacturing
• Works closely with Quality to ensure robust and high quality manufacturing
• Researches and develops design parameters, performance characteristics and technical specifications of new gear designs
• Monitors, explores, and tests new NVH evaluation and resolution technologies, materials, and components to understand product or process improvement opportunities.
• Supports the customer application teams in prevention and resolution of NVH issues. Gives Technical (product and process) Direction on NVH improvement designs from early concept through to launch, including cost savings in production until end of life

Qualification

Education

• Master degree in Mechanical Engineering, PhD welcome

Experience

• Minimum of five years experience in a NVH role
• Strong skills in working in international teams
• Preferably in the Automotive industry, OEM or TIER 1, ideally with Driveline background
• Confident, reliable and friendly representation on all levels
• Knowledge of all phases of developing automotive products
• Knowledge of vehicle driveline systems, components and their interaction
• Understanding of APQP processes including FMEA and PPAP
• Good organizational skills
• Good negotiation skills both internally and with customers
• Self starter with strong written and oral communication skills
• Multi language written/verbal communication skills
• Good computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Project, Outlook etc.)
• Great interpersonal skills to work effectively with others; must enjoy working with others and motivate, mentor/train his team
• Willingness to travel, maximum 20% of time
