Over the years we have been growing and today we are working within the areas Automotive, Control Systems, Industry, Purchasing and Recruitment. This vacancy is positioned within the Recruitment area, which means you will be employed by our customer.
On behalf of our customer Plastal we are now looking for 3 Lead Engineers.
Your responsibility is to lead a cross-functional design & development team with both Design Leads and CAD engineers. You are the main contact towards the customers in technical matters and should be able to communicate and collaborate in a professional manner.
Main responsibilities:
- Lead your team and ensure good communication through regular meetings.
- Find technical solutions that meet customer requirements
- Monitor and budgeting the teams hours and report discrepancies
- Report project status as required by the project manager, for example: Planning, cost, technical status, organization, APQP
- Report potential improvements to the management
- Ensure that best practices and lessons learned from previous projects are considered and implemented in the CAD models.
- Optimizing the customers requirements and manufacturability
- Ensure the expertise and resources in the project in order to perform a high quality job.
- Follow up critical milestones during the development phase, report descrepancies, and suggest corrective measures.
- Participate in both internal and external project meetings that might apply construction monitoring, tool reviews or test drives.
Qualifications:
- Completed studies in Mechanical Engineering with specialization in plastics technology
- Minimum 5 years of qualified experience in engineering management of development projects in the automotive industry
- Fluent in english
Knowledge in:
- Plastic technology e.g. knowledge of materials, processes, finishes and joint technology.
- Product design and assembly of plastic components
- Customer standards and organization
- Geometric tolerances and references
- Injection molding process and it's effect on product quality
- Mold flow simulation
- Injection molding tools
- LS Dyna simulation
- Production costs and cost drivers in product development
