Who are we, your new colleagues?
You will belong to The Driving area team in GTT Cab Interior section, we are responsible for the design and development of components and systems in the driving area of the cab including Controls, Pedals, Steering wheel and airbag, steering column/shaft, Instrument panel, Door panels, Seats etc.
We are a team of independent individuals who thrive when we get to create and development exciting, important products - especially now since we soon will be taking the step towards autonomous driving products. We are very customer oriented and have many different competences that we more than often share to learn from each other.
What will be your responsibilities?
One of your main responsibilities is to continuously develop yourself, your colleagues and Volvo Trucks.
We will count on you to take great responsibility for your assigned area. You will also be responsible for concept and detailed development of upper and lower controls, pedals, steering wheel and airbag, steering column/shaft for both Volvo and Renault trucks. Most of the work will be done by suppliers that you lead; in some cases we will do some of the work in-house. You will be working very integrated with other functions locally and globally whereby communication and holistic viewpoint is essential. You will also contribute to the global strategies within the field.

• Experience and understanding of legal demands and verification methods
