Sandvik Coromant Production Finance is responsible for the development and operation of the finance processes and performance management process, and for driving performance from a financial perspective through analysis, support and active engagement in production management teams. We are now looking for a Lead Business Controller for a role that covers particularly Inserts Production, and has indirect reporting from production units globally. This is a key role in production with a global scope and many interfaces, a combination of great responsibility, business involvement and impact, as well as leadership and a chance to join the world leader in the industry. The location for this position is flexible within Europe, but preferably in Sandviken, Sweden.
Key performance areas
As Lead Business Controller for Global Inserts Production, you contribute by leading the performance development within production. In collaboration with production managers, you set strategy and targets, carry out goal-oriented activities, improve the current financial processes and ways of working and handle related issues. You are an active member of the Inserts Production management team and the Finance team, and you are responsible for the consolidated performance process and reports for production of actual results, short and long-term outlooks, as well as analysis and proposals for actions to eliminate deviations. Part of your responsibility is also to increase knowledge within the organization of the financial effects of business decisions, including understanding the consolidated business model. As a manager with indirect reports from Sandvik Coromant's production unit controllers, you support them with competence development, best practice sharing and strengthening of the controller network.
Some international business travel is required in this position.
We are looking for someone with a relevant Bachelor's degree, or equivalent knowledge obtained from work experience, and at least three years of experience from business controlling. Previous assignments in a leadership position in direct or indirect management and change management are also required, while experience of production controlling and improvement work, particularly in the Lean framework, is advantageous. You also have business understanding, preferably from a manufacturing industry, in order to drive performance from a financial perspective. You have knowledge of financial principles, rules and processes including financial and production accounting, as well as for supporting and improving compliance and performance. You have good IT literacy, especially regarding MS Office's Excel and PowerPoint, and good skills in English, in both writing and speaking.
