Scania and the transport industry are experiencing a shift towards Intelligent, Connected and Autonomous Vehicles. Besides that, vehicles in some scenarios will be driver-less, they will be coordinated by intelligent planning and scheduling algorithms increasing the efficiency and utilization rate of the transport flow. This means taking a wider perspective than the single vehicle and focusing on coordinating a fleet of self-driving vehicles.

Our office is located in Södertälje and we plan to work partly remote and partly from office moving forward.

The role

We are looking for a Lead Architect that will be located in the Intelligent Transport Systems management team. You 'll be guiding the teams building the future cloud architecture, helping them understand the context where they operate and move our architecture to an even higher degree of future-proof intelligent solution.

Your ability to understand how to build trust in teams and find the way forward in our challenge will be important when the management requires support in understanding the needs from an architectural point of view.

Responsibilities

• Defining the future intelligent transport systems architecture.
• Safeguard current and future cloud architecture in the daily work with the different Value Creation Teams.
• Be the representative in cross-functional architectural forums.
• Run, guide and develop the architect forums within intelligent transport systems.
• You have the responsibility regarding architectural choices in the system.
• You maintain the architectural system description.

Qualifications

You have confidence in your leaderskills that are responsive and you are able to collaboratively find and define the architectural path for us to follow.

Your ability to make choices and communicate them, together with a great understanding of change management, will be key.

• Working with cloud development for more than 10 years.
• University degree within the IT area.
• Have a solid background in enterprise architecture.
• Knowledge about how semantic approaches can solve business challenges and how to achieve semantic interoperability.
• You have experience from bringing products and services to production, based on the efforts of a distributed development organisation.
• You have experience from working with agile organizations and supporting them with guidance.
• Preferably you have experience as a solution architect, following the product from ides to launch.
