The mission of Volvo Trucks Product and Vehicle Sales is to define and promote the total wanted offering, prioritize product offering demands into GTT and manage product line profitability. To secure "The right truck, at the right time, on the right place" and support the sales person to sell our total offer at the right price and continuously improve the effectiveness of the sales activities.

Launch Event Manager (three positions)

The purpose of these three positions is to manage successful project launches for Volvo Trucks new products and to secure that targets are fulfilled in terms of supporting business growth, profitability and image for three different segments/products.

The positions involve a three-year assignment. After the three years you will still have your employment in the Volvo group, either in your current organization or in a new opportunity. What we can promise you is that the experience you gain in a position as Launch Event manager in Volvo Trucks will be a merit for the rest of your Volvo career!

Mission / Scope of position
In the role as Launch Event Manager you will support the launch CPM in the delivery of a total business solution package. You will be responsible for the event launch budget related to the segment/product you are leading. The project will cover all activities related to the launch, including pre-launch training and preparation activities and it is important for you to be able to support the total deliverables as well as your own deliverables.

Key responsibilities
• Take an active part in creating the total picture and the have awareness of total launch deliverables including launch strategies, activity plans and budgets
• Consolidate and evaluate event planning proposal from each line PM
• Work with external communication PM around positioning, theme and objectives
• Secure coordination between different stake holders
• Be the main point of entry towards the concept supplier for your responsibility
• Consolidate and package sub deliverables into a complete event program for Commercial Crew, Customers, Body Builders and Press
• Keep together the total resource personnel planning for you segment/product and secure that plans are resource assured and time scheduled, follow up and report deviations in order to take corrective actions
• With help of a logistics manager organize Transports, hotels, food and Event locations
• During event execution period, supervise the different sites with help of Site managers and event supplier project leaders
• Ensure that the event strategy, the concepts and material developed will be possible to implement throughout the commercial system
• Follow up execution of strategies, expenses and report accordingly
