hela Sverige Are you a proactive team player with educational background within Chemistry and interested in laboratory work? Do you want to work in a laboratory focusing on quality assurance and analytical support and with the possibility to participate in the introduction of new products?
We now have a temporary opening as Laboratory Engineer to join the Surface Chemistry Quality Control Team, based in Stenungsund. AkzoNobel Surface Chemistry has a unique technology base and profound experience in the production of surface active materials for use in many different application areas spanning from agricultural to consumer products. In the Surface Chemistry Quality Control Team in Stenungsund we take care of quality assurance and analytical support while supporting the introduction of new products.
Main responsibilities:
• Responsibility of methods to achieve right quality assurance
• Responsibility for analytical support in daily material flow
• Responsibility to keep laboratory in good working order including HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) issues
• Responsible for ordering raw materials and lab supplies
• Responsibility for product care and improvement from a productivity and quality view point
• Participates in new product introduction, including evaluation of capability from a productivity and quality view point
• Continuous improvement project work
• Participates in operator training
• Actively supports AkzoNobel Leading Performance System (ALPS) standards
• Participates in troubleshooting within the PQC area
• Bachelor or Master degree in Chemistry related field
• Analytical and/or process/production relevant experience
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
• Proactive, independent and result driven
• Team player with communication and interpersonal skills
• You have a drive for creating a safe and healthy working environment
• Additional experiences from Surface chemistry are considered a merit.
• SAP QM experience is considered a merit
• Experience from the Six sigma methodology is considered a merit
