Are you a proactive team player with educational background within Chemistry and interest for laboratory work? We now have a six-months temporary opening as Laboratory Engineer Quality Control within the Ethylene Amines based in Stenungsund.
The RD&I lab team works on process and product development including scale-up trials, catalyst testing for the current production process, and supports other functions in the business with chemical know-how. In the role as Laboratory Engineer you will perform experimental synthesis and analysis work and you will act as lab support in pilot trials on the site in Stenungsund.
Main responsibilities
Perform experiments in research projects and assist in evaluating and reporting experimental results
Analyze samples from the lab or pilot by GC or titrations
Contribute with ideas to projects and work requests
Perform catalyst tests
Participate in the RD&I Laboratory's HSE work
Maintain the lab and equipment used in the RD&I lab
Working hours:
Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 16:30 with flextime.
Qualifications
B.SC. in chemistry, chemical engineering or equivalent education
Experienced in preparatory laboratory techniques and organic synthesis including high-pressure chemistry
Experience with modern analysis methods, including GC/GC-MS and titration methods
Excellent knowledge in Swedish and English (written and spoken), and preferably additional languages
Experience with high-pressure chemistry is beneficial.

The application process
After the closing date, we will start the selection process. In our first selection we thoroughly go through all the applications. If you proceed in our selection process we invite you to a face-to-face interview that takes about 1,5 hours. There you will meet with the recruiter and the hiring manager.
