As a Measurement Engineer at the Powertrain Engineering Laboratory, you will lead and deliver development activities, where creativity, reactivity, quality and flexibility are keys to success.

You will be the main speaking partner for the operational teams in their day to day activities. Working close to where things happen, you will have an overall understanding of all technologies available in our 20+ engine test rigs: measurement equipment, automation systems, mechanical installations etc.
You will act as a mentor on the technical equipment and methods used in the Lab, and will support the teams with advice and educational courses.

You will balance your time between office work and work in the Lab. The laboratory is a domain where you not only design solutions, but you also follow-up the realization to the start of operations with the test equipment.

You will be part of the method and technical development team: 20 experienced engineers, with different expertise areas (software, measurement, electronics, fluids etc) and different backgrounds (line management, project management, and technical expertise).
All work together with one target: to develop efficient, cost effective and quality testing equipment and methods.

Main responsibilities
• Rigs development - medium and small size, acting as project leader or member
• Daily support to operations and service personnel, mainly for emission measurement equipment, indication and other measurement equipment
• Drive the internal and global correlation of our engine rigs, and other test cell quality control measurements
• Support the realization and commissioning of projects
• Have close contacts with customers (development engineers) to understand the needs of new testing procedures or equipment
• Drive initiatives to improve efficiency, reliability or quality demands
• Contribute in the global laboratory emission measurement testing roadmap
• Actively drive process development and continuous improvement initiatives in the team

Requirements
• B. Sc. or equivalent
• Interest in working in a technical environment, in the field
• Experience from emission or other gas and fluid measurement techniques
• Knowledge of diesel engines is a merit
• Experience from testing and automotive industry is a merit
• Knowledge of reading and understanding technical drawings
• Ability to document and share knowledge
• Analytical aptitude with a service mindset
• Swedish and English proficiency (verbal and writing)
