hela Sverige The main responsibility for this position is mechanical design of new thermal systems to contribute in the development of new products.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
• Mechanical design of the system, including integration of hydraulic and electronic components into a complete system.
• Take active role from concept phase through design to prototype build and test.
• Multidisciplinary work with electrical, test and prototype engineers and other organizational functions as required
• Design and develop with proper technology selections to meet manufacturing, cost and schedule targets.
• Support launch of new programs in global manufacturing facilities.
• Maintain leading-edge technical proficiency and stay up-to-date of new trends and technical developments in fields affecting the mechanical design and integration.
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline
• Of advantage if experience within the areas of cooling/refrigeration thermal product design or production.
• Concept design, detail engineering, manufacturing, testing and installation are probably areas you have some experience from.
• Experience working in accordance with a quality management system, such as ISO 9001
• Skilled in CAD, preferably Solid Works
• Open minded person with good communication skills, fluency in English spoken and written.
• Ability to self-educate about new technical aspect of design and components

Laird Gothenburg Engineering team is responsible for new product development and consists of project managers, mechanical and electrical engineers as well as testing and prototyping. Our work is often global including collaboration with other Laird sites around the world to deliver cutting edge thermal systems for market leading customers.
