Best Practices and Knowledge Management
• Promote Knowledge Sharing within Project Offices and the Project Organizations within the Volvo Group entities and to follow up on the on-going initiatives
• Continuously identify best practices inside and outside of the Volvo Group and make proposals for improvements
• Provide input and enhancement recommendations for the corporate Knowledge Management Database
• Set up and facilitate the Knowledge Management Network
• Coordinate the moderators for the Project Management communities
• Establish and maintain Project Management events (conferences, virtual seminars, topical chats etc.)
Project Management Reviews
• Develop an annual report on the ?State of Project Management? in the Volvo Group
• Gather and collate data and statistics surrounding Project Management initiatives and prepare recommendations for improvements, based on reports and assessments
Project Management Organization and Team Assessments
• Oversee the implementation and improvement of Project Management Organization Assessments, in collaboration with a corporate assessment team
• Summarize actions for improvements and make recommendations to the Volvo Group entities
Communications Management and Coordination
• Develop and maintain PM Academy communication plan
• Together with the Communications Department, develop and maintain the PM Academy Homepage and Portal
• Drive the development of communication channels, such as newsletters, articles and videos.
Required competencies and skills
• University degree in Project Management or equivalent experience
• Extensive experience and knowledge in project management
• Knowledge Management process experience
• PMP Certification
• Practical knowledge of GDP, IS-GDP and IS-GDP4IT (Volvo operational processes)
• Experience of managing PMO operations
• Experience of starting up new operations
• Understanding of Volvo Group Project Management Methodologies
• Ability to work in a cross-functional and global organization
• Experience of working in virtual teams in a global organisation
• Strong communication skills in both written and spoken English
• MBA in strategic management
• Portuguese is a merit
This position reports to the Vice President of the PM Academy as part of Volvo Group University
