Scania is currently undergoing an exciting transformation from a traditional truck manufacturer to a provider of complete sustainable transport solutions. IT is a crucial part of this transformation as Scania's success depends on our ability to utilize the power of software and data.
To strengthen our ability to build a modern digital ecosystem that enables a data driven Scania we are now looking for an knowledge engineer to join our Knowledge Graph Center of Excellence team.
Who we are
We are a highly professional team of dedicated Ontology Developers, knowledge engineers , backend and frontend developers, designers and testers working closely with our business partners in delivering a resilient self-service platform for creating, developing, and visualizing ontologies. We have exciting ongoing initiatives: to create a machine understandable information architecture and enable Knowledge graph as a service, usable for Scania and our customers! Our aim is to create a knowledge fabric that spans all aspects of product development, production, sales, and service.
Your duties will include
As an knowledge engineer you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining ontologies that capture knowledge within our domain. As a member of the Center of Excellence team you will also be responsible to support and drive the knowledge graph offering at Scania. Your expertise will contribute to the organization and integration of data, enabling effective knowledge management and information retrieval.
You will play a critical role in developing the Knowledge Graphs area both within Scania and TRATON. You will create and help create, maintain and refine ontologies, while ensuring that concepts, properties, and relationships are accurately represented across the company. You will take part in establishing the necessary governance and policies to safeguard our knowledge assets. Your expertise will be essential to introduce and develop state-of-the-art practices that will enable to establish and automate our governance processes.
You will support shaping industry standards and best practices. You will pioneer strategies to leverage ontologies, other AI area connected to Semantics as well as GenAI and others. Your contributions will fuel our knowledge-driven decisions, enriching our understanding and propelling us towards innovation. Required Skills
• 4+ years' experience building ontologies
• Experience with Reasoning & Inferencing
Experience in creating data validation processes using SHACL, SPARQL or other rule languages
• Experience with knowledge representation languages such as RDF, OWL
• Develop and implement algorithms for knowledge inference, reasoning, and decision-making within knowledge-based systems.
• Design and develop knowledge representation schemas, ontologies, and taxonomies to capture and organize domain knowledge effectively
Desired Skills
• Experience with Graph technologies and tools such as Stardog, Metaphactory, Top braid and Protégé
• Experience solving business problems by combining Ontology modeling with natural language processing (NLP) as well as machine learning (ML) tools and techniques
