Bus & Coach is a more and more important business area due to the growing population, urbanisation and focus on sustainability. In recent years the bus and coach business has seen considerable growth at Scania, both in terms of volume, market share and profitability. Our aim is to continue growing in order to reach the target of 11 000 vehicles 2020 and even higher volumes in a longer perspective.

As part of the Focus and Ambition Program, Scania Buses & Coaches Builder Key Account Management is now gearing up towards the 2020 targets and beyond!

This new function is responsible for establishing commercial relations, find new business opportunities, and develop the bus and coach business in close cooperation with Bus & Coach Builders and our Scania Business Units.

We are extending the team with a Key Account Manager to improve the Bus & Coach Builder collaboration and increase our volume growth in line with our long term targets. Here you have the opportunity to join a dynamic and result oriented team. You will investigate all possible business opportunities, dare to try, not be afraid to challenge the way we work and really be focused on the bus business.

Work Description
Traditionally there are three business models for manufacturing, distribution and commercial agreements with the end customer:

Scania is selling the complete vehicle to the end customer
Scania is selling the chassis to the Bus & Coach builder who then sells a complete vehicle to the end customer
Scania is selling the chassis to the end customer who then purchases the body from a Bus & Coach Builder

There are big differences globally which of these models that are most commonly used.

As Key Account Manager you will be responsible for some of Scania's biggest Bus and Coach Builder Partners and secure our multilevel relationship. You will play a central role in our sales development in order to implement the Scania Bus and Coach strategy.

Your task is to develop both the traditional business models as well as develop and implement new ones. Traditional methods for sales will be challenged. You will be responsible for investigation if chassis, chassis without frame, component sales or other solutions will be the best way to secure growth for Scania. This is done in close cooperation with the Bus & Coach Builder, the Bus & Coach Builders sales channels and Scania Business Units.

Being able to create good relationships will be an essential part of your job. The marketed range will be challenged and your input is needed to take the right decisions within the Scania group concerning industrial integration. You will also identify, and understand, the needs and demands for commercial suitable options in markets concerned.

You are expected to travel a lot to visit Bus & Coach Builders, Scania sales representatives and of course meet customers.

Your Profile
You are hands on kind of person with an eye for business development opportunities, and you take action. Good analytic skills and a structured approach in combination with excellent communication skills is required. You have a solid commercial interest and enjoy working in a fast-moving and truly international environment. Experience from Bus & Coach sales management on Business Unit level or Export and Financing are consider as a strong merit.

An academic degree in business, engineering or equivalent is required and you master English in a fluent way. Additional languages are considered an advantage. Preferably you are already familiar with Scania and the products and services we sell.
