Dina arbetsuppgifterWe are looking for a preformulation/formulation scientist to join our Process and Pharmaceutical R&D section.
Job Responsibilities:
• Participate in the pre-formulation, formulation, and process development aspects of pharmaceutical dosage form development projects. This involves both coordination of outsourced formulation development as well as in-house laboratory work.
• Determine/evaluate physical-chemical properties of drugs, including solubility, dissolution, and solid-state characterization, both in-house and together with external laboratories
• Design and carry out preformulation/formulation experiments, evaluation of test data and preparation of associated documentation, such as reports, in support of oral formulation development
• Assist in the preparation of the CMC part of the IND/IMPD
• Write and review technical reports as required for complete documentation and support of the product development process
• Documentation of formulation and development work, including managing/archiving of development documentation
• Communicate and collaborate with coworkers and management to meet project team goals
Utbildning och erfarenhetQualifications:
• PhD in pharmaceutical sciences or MSc with several years of pharmaceutical industry experience in formulations or preformulations R&D
• Hands-on experience with drug product formulations, pharmaceutical technologies and testing of formulations
• Experience with analytical techniques for pharmaceutical agents including HPLC, GC and mass spectrometry. Additional knowledge of analytical methods for characterization is preferred.
• Knowledgeable about regulatory and pharmacopeia (EP, USP) requirements, GLP/GMP and international guidelines as they relate to the development of pharmaceutical products
Additional skills:
• You have to be both innovative and creative, with the ability to transform ideas into products, as well as structured and thorough
• Excellent oral and written communication skills (very good English, spoken and written, is essential)
• Ability to work independently and make decisions
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting and manage multiple activities
