Chemical Engineer
Low Emission Resin
Tech Centre focuses on development in different areas; Light weight boards, UT HDF and Low Emission Resin and surface properties of wood based panels. They have a Program Manager for each area and also a support team that consists of nine persons. Program Manager (Chemical Engineer) for Low Emission Resin is a new position in Tech Centre and with that position, the Tech Centre is fully equipped to meet the strategic and operational goals that IKEA sets.
Your overall goal is to find a way to produce the particle board with lower emission of formaldehyde in a cost neutral production. You will run development projects from idea to production and document and report the projects according to their Stage-Gate manual. You will establish a network of partners within the area of development, you will participate in relevant seminars and fairs, and you will also be involved in cross-functional team projects.
We are looking for someone with a diploma in chemical engineering, preferably with experience in development within the area of low emission resin. We prefer if you also have experience of wood industry. We believe that you are an independent team worker with a skill to establish and develop relations internally and externally. Since we work in an international environment the position also includes travelling. You report to the Executive Manager for Sales and Product Development at Swedspan International.
