Acne is a Swedish fashion brand that designs, markets and distributes high-end denim and fashion. The company was born out of a fusion between fashion and denim and has embraced its heritage in the area ever since inception.
Acne's products are sold at more than 700 retailers in 40 countries around the world, and also through fourteen Acne concept stores in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Berlin, Hamburg, Oslo, Paris, New York, Vienna and Copenhagen.
E-commerce is the third and youngest sales channel with operations in 50 countries worldwide. Acne E-tail is a fast growing division within the company with increasing employment demands in a number of different areas including web development.
The new e-commerce platform MAGENTO,
www.magentocommerce.com, will be the main hub for all B2C e-commerce development and internal PHP-platforms are used to support our B2B sales channels.
Job Description
The entry-level position as Junior Web Developer within our E-Commerce Department is demanding and fun. We are looking for developer with strong passion for current web technologies and the endless possibilities of the web.
As Junior Web Developer you will play a central role in the technical and commercial expansion of our online presence through the expansion of our small but growing web development department. Key assignments will range from work within long-term development projects to continuous enhancements and optimizations on a daily basis.
You will work together with a young and enthusiastic team of developers and project managers. This position is fulltime and preferably based at our head office in Stockholm.
Tasks include the following
Solutions Development and Delivery
• Build and develop excellent performing websites based on the MAGENTO and Wordpress platforms as well as development of custom built systems using PHP, MySQL and Zend Framework.
• Build and test integrations with 3rd party systems.
• Providing excellent technical solutions to drive sales and lower cost.
• Testing and deployment of delivered code
• Execute continuous optimization of all areas of the website to improve sales and user experience.
Mandatory Qualifications
• A strong passion for web development and Open Source software.
• At least 1 year experience as professional web developer
• Expert in PHP/MySQL Programming
• Experience with XML and SOAP/WDSL
• Good knowledge of current (X) HTML 5/CSS standards.
• Strong problem solving skills
• Strong communication skills in written and spoken English.
• Enthusiasm and a great sense of humor.
• Excellent attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
• Previous knowledge of e-commerce development.
• Experience developing with Magento Commerce platform
• Bachelors / Masters Degree or equivalent.
• Linux experience / System Administration
• Familiar with Zend Framework
• Wordpress experience
