Job Description
As a Junior Software Developer at Animals AI, you will be instrumental in our mission to transform agriculture through technology. Collaborating with our team of specialists, you will contribute to designing, building, and maintaining software solutions that drive positive change within the farming community.
Responsibilities
Aid in developing and improving software applications to meet the evolving requirements of our agricultural clientele.
Collaborate closely with senior developers to transform requirements into functional software solutions.
Engage in coding, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting within an agile development environment.
Participate in code reviews and work with colleagues to uphold code quality and coherence.
Learn and apply best practices in software development, version control, and documentation.
Assist in implementing software updates, patches, and enhancements.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Solid grasp of programming principles and proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript).
Familiarity with software development tools and technologies, including IDEs, version control systems, and databases.
Strong problem-solving abilities and a readiness to learn new technologies and methodologies.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
Passion for technology and a drive to make a meaningful impact in the agricultural sector.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with web development frameworks such as Django, Flask, or Spring Boot.
Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
Familiarity with software testing principles and tools.
Proficiency in backend development and exposure to edge-AI technologies is highly advantageous.
Genuine enthusiasm for livestock and prior experience or knowledge in animal farming is highly valued.
