Interested in an administrative scientific role at ECDC focused on Public Health education and training? We are currently looking for a Junior Scientific Export requested to perform various tasks in the Training Network Strengthening Group at the European Centre for Disease Prevention (ECDC).
Work duties
The interim will work in with public health training and capacity as a member of the Training Network Strengthening Group and shall be requested to perform various tasks including:
• Assist with the design and administration of capacity support activities, so that country needs are met.
• Support the development of training needs assessment tools and mapping of other European training resources in the field of communicable disease prevention and control.
• Provide support to the further development of the ECDC continuous professional development programme (CPDP).
Competences and experience
In addition to the profile specification, these specific competences and experience are required for the assignment:
• Degree in Science or Engineering
• Merit with experience related to Public Health
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Experience in project management, planning, monitoring and evaluation.
• International experience in the area of communicable disease prevention and control, with focus on training.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong inter-personal skills and ability to work well in a team.
• Service-oriented and result-oriented personality.

Job type: Full time. Candidates need to be available for work from mid-March, and the temporary assignment are planned to end in July 2017, but with possible extension up to a total length of 12 month.
