We are currently in an exciting phase with many product development projects, especially in electrification. For our project and commodity purchasing organization, we are now looking for two Junior Purchasers, who want to be part of Scania's work to deliver sustainable transport solutions.

Working as a junior purchaser gives you a great opportunity to get a feel for and insight into the purchasing job and the area we work in. In your role, you will:
• Responsible for prototype purchasing, where you handle quotation requests and negotiations, and follow up that items are delivered on time and to the right quality.
• Represent Scania towards our suppliers, while having many internal contact points, both within purchasing and also towards other internal functions such as R&D and production.
• Manage administrative tasks in our procurement processes for serial items, where you work closely with colleagues to secure parts of purchasing deliveries.
• Work as a support to other Purchasers in securing the team's objectives.
One of your closest colleagues will be appointed supervisor to ensure that you get the best possible start in your new job and make the necessary contacts.
Who are you?
We are looking for you who are a newly graduated Bachelor's or Master's engineer with a strong interest in technology and doing good business. Alternatively, you already have relevant experience from Scania or similar positions at other companies and see this job as the next step in your career.
To be successful in the role, you need to be result-oriented, and analytical, and have the ability to run several assignments in parallel in a structured way. You have the ability to work long-term and proactively to improve and streamline our business and to be able to support colleagues in the best possible way. You enjoy taking initiative, working independently, and developing the role you are in. You also have a commercial drive and interest and understand the connection between technology and economics.
As a person, you are positive and contribute to good team spirit in the groups you work in, even if the pace of work is sometimes high. As the role involves a large international network and some travel, an advanced level of English in writing and speech is mandatory and good knowledge of Swedish is a merit.
