We are now looking for a Junior Project Purchaser Mechanics to join the sourcing group within Axis 's Operations department. This is a great opportunity to grow in an international organization. Arbetsuppgifter
It is crucial to keep a high service level to the projects and secure that we minimize our ramp-up times to the market. The junior project purchaser will have an important role in ensuring component supply to our NPI (New Product Introduction) projects and keep tight control over components cost.
The job includes:
• Purchase order placement and order follow up towards suppliers for components and materials to secure prototype build and production ramp-up.
• Review and estimate BOM (Bill Of Material) in terms of costs, multi-source alternatives.
• Close cooperation with our manufacturing partners to ensure they have all components/materials available for each prototype build.
• Close cooperation with R&D and industrial lead during project developing phase.
• Assist and give input for developing the supplier base together with each commodity manager.
• Maintain database to ensure data is correct for components and supplier information.
Eventually you haven't done this before but we want you to be driven and not afraid to learn more!
The sourcing team is responsible for providing optimal supplier base to assure total supply chain cost are minimized, quality standards are maintained and service level to R&D remain high to be able to meet Axis time to market requirements and growth. The team is involved in all stages of a product 's lifetime - e.g. development, design for manufacturing, industrialization and product data management in PDM and ERP system during development of new products. During serial production the group supports with maintenance and product changes. The main collaboration interfaces are all departments at Operations and R&D.
Utbildning/erfarenhet
We believe that you are an open minded individual with a strong drive who pays attention to details. Teamwork is a crucial part of Axis success and as an employee we expect you to contribute to a good and productive work environment, working with and supporting your co-workers toward success.
In addition to above we believe that you have:
• Master 's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management or similar.
• Some experience of similar work (this is a plus, but not nessesary)
• A business mind and enjoy daily contact with suppliers.
• Strong ability to collaborate across organizational and cultural boarders and it's considered an advantage to have experience from ERP system.
• Average technical understanding.
• Good knowledge in MS Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Excellent skills in English and Swedish, both oral and writing.
• Hands on approach and are used to do what needs to be done.
