Hasselblad R&D is a joint department which consists of teams based on specific technical fields: hardware, software, image quality, optics, mechanics and QA/test. Each team not only runs its daily operations independently, but also collaborates with the other teams as well as different sites and partners around the globe. We are now looking for driven and innovative firmware engineer to join our R&D hardware team located at Hasselblad headquarters in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Tasks and responsibilities:
As an Junior Embedded Software Engineer, you will contribute to the development of System on Chip (SoC) devices. Your focus will be on the embedded systems, involving tasks such as Linux kernel driver development. You'll play a key role in enhancing the functionality and precision of camera systems, particularly in the development of lens zoom and focus motor drive features.
• Contribute to the seamless integration and optimization of embedded systems.
• Collaborate on the development of camera features and user interface using C++, embedded Linux, and Qt/QML.
• Support the implementation of motor control for zooming and focusing mechanisms.
• Assist in the development of Camera Systems or 3A subsystems, gaining exposure to image processing concepts.
Education, Experience and Personal characteristics:
• M.Sc. in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar
• Experienced in using C++
• Experience in developing embedded products
• Familiar with the basic principles of hardware
• Fluent in English both written and spoken
