About the group
Professionals Nord is looking for a Junior Development Engineer. You will work as a consultant through our staffing business, and the assignment stretches for 12 months. Our intentions are that you after this period will be employed by our client.
Department Customized Truck Development are responsible for customer and market adaptations of trucks and complete vehicles with bodywork. The group Bodywork Adaptation (RSER) work in a dynamic and exiting environment close to market and customers. You will be a part of the team FFU (Fit For Use) where you are implementing existing parts and solutions from bodybuilders and distributors to shorten lead time to end customer from the factory.
Your role
As a development engineer at FFU you are working with adaptations for parts all over the truck, including both mechanical and electrical functions. The team is today consisting of two development engineers and two working with technical support. You will get to use a veriety of different company-specific systems that describes how the truck is specified and get a good knowledge about the vehicle and the FFU development process. In broad terms the general way of working can be describes as firstly the team gets a request for a need from sales and marketing. Together with an project manager we are responsible to verify the technical solution and introduce in production. This differs depending on what type of request it is - it could for example be to:
* Set the technical concept
* Discuss solutions with suppliers
* Order prototypes
* Test assembly on vehicles
* Check the technical solution
* Prepare drawings and archive
Your profile
In order for you to thrive as a development engineer, we believe that you are a problem solver, analytic and structured in your work. You thrive in a flexible environment involving many different projects. We also belive that you possess great communication skills, and are interested in working with electrical functions. Other requirements for this position:
* Bachelor 's degree in engineering (electrical, mechanical, material technology, structural mechanics or equivalent)
* Fluent in english in both speech and in writing
* Has a great intreast in electrical functions!
Knowledge in Catia V5 or programming skills is highly meritable.
