Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Junior Category Manager. As a Junior Category Manager, you will be responsible for optimizing the product assortment and maximizing sales within assigned product categories. Your primary goal will be to help drive growth and profitability by implementing effective category strategies, conducting market analysis, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. This role offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth and development in the field of category management.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement category-specific assortment plans based on market trends, passenger profiles and business goals.
• Implement pricing policies to optimize revenue and profitability
• Analyze sales data and key performance indicators (SPH, MPH and conversion rate) to identify growth opportunities, address underperforming products, and optimize pricing strategies.
• Conduct regular market research to identify new product opportunities, monitor competitor activities, and stay informed about industry trends to drive innovation.
• Collaborate with the logistics team to ensure adequate stock levels, minimize stockouts, and manage inventory turnover within assigned categories.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, negotiate favorable terms, and explore new supplier partnerships to enhance product offerings.
• Deliver advertising and marketing income, ensuring it is in line with category targets.
• Support in the development of accurate sales forecasts and demand planning for assigned categories.
• Participate to presentations to airline partners and new/potential customers using insights to deliver innovative product / service portfolio.
• Drive sustainability.
• Ad-hoc category management projects.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
Work Experience: Previous experience in category management, retail, or relevant internships is a plus.
Technical Skills: Experienced MS Office user, familiar with reporting systems and ERP tools and other business systems
Other Skills:
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel or other data analysis tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated and eager to learn with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to prioritize and act quickly to meet changing business demands
• Entrepreneurship and willingness to innovate
Language / Communication Skills: fluent English essential, other languages an advantage
