Envirotainer is now looking for a mechanical engineer to join the NPI (New Product Introduction) department. You will become a member of a very innovative and inspiring team with technicians and engineers. Your main assignment will be designing tools and equipment for production. You will be reporting to the Head of NPI and Production and based at our R&D and Production site in Rosersberg.
Role and Responsibilities
As a Mechanical Engineer in the NPI team, you will be involved in the following tasks:
• CAD modelling as well as preparing/performing calculations and simulations.
• Preparing specifications such as drawings, instructions, process specifications, material specifications and production methods/processes.
• Evaluating concepts and reviewing designs
• Proposing and preparing as well as carrying out verification of designs
• Develop and maintain structure for production equipment.
• Manage activities regarding renovation and reconstruction of tools and equipment.
• Take active part in projects and activities within the areas of designing equipment specialised for the product and process, also set requirements on product to contributing to the production strategy.
• The right to make technical decisions, as defined by the technical field or scope for the role mechanical engineer.
Personal Qualities/Skills
To be successful in this role, we believe you have experience from mechanical design in other companies. In addition, you have/are:
5 years of work experience in relevant technical fields (designing tools and equipment for production)
A relevant education - MSc or other engineering degree
Independent, driven, structured as a person.
Practical person that takes on tasks and drives them until finish.
Fluent in English and Swedish, spoken and written
It's a bonus if you have:
Experience in mechanical processing, such as milling, turning and welding
Experience from med tech or airline
Experience of composite or sandwich technology
