Position Description
This role resides in the Online Trading Distribution Development team. We are looking for a 5+ year-experienced server-side Java developer, preferably on large application systems. The responsibilities includes requirements gathering, working with business analysts, production support, developing new functionality as well as maintaining the existing architecture.
We are looking for an ambitious developer who will be responsible for developing, enhancing and coordinating the ongoing development of a space-based enabled trading platform.
Key roles:
• Lead the design- and development cycle of a new Space-based Architecture (SBA) platform.
• Participate in the design- and development cycle of highly complex multi-asset J2SE system.
• Involvement in designing and developing a new architectural platform for message distribution (cloud messaging).
• Maintenance of current production environments including development support.
Position Requirements
A suitable candidate will possess some of the following skills and past experience:
• 5+ years experience in Java (J2SE).
• 2+ years experience in SBA, preferably GigaSpaces XAP, JavaSpaces or similar.
• 2+ years experience of Spring application platform.
• Client/Server development.
• Service Oriented Architecture and design.
• Good knowledge of Message-Oriented Middleware (MOM).
• Good knowledge of design patterns and OO fundamentals in general.
• Good knowledge of SQL Server/Oracle.
• Knowledge of C/C++ is a big plus.
• Knowledge about capital markets, i.e. financial software and trading relating processes is a big plus.
• Knowledge of Scrum or other agile software development processes is a big plus.
• Knowledge of application servers is a plus.
Personal skills:
• Good team player.
• Decisiveness and focus on actions and results.
• Work in scrum teams.
• A sincere interest in the Java programming language.
• Ability to focus on business and customer needs.
