Job description
As a IT Support Technician you will be operating in a Microsoft environment and use many of the latest MS products and services. Capacent has a mixed environment of both local and outsourced infrastructure.
As a IT Support Technician, your key responsibilities will include:
• On-site support to users at the office with day-to-day technical issues. Remote support to internal users at other sites in Sweden (Göteborg & Malmö), Finland (Helsinki) and on occasion, Iceland (Reykjavik)
• Organize upgrades of IT environment, research and suggest replacements for old hardware/software and auditing, purchasing and renewing licenses
• Purchase and configuration of new clients and phones
• Set up and maintain workstations and provide introductions and guidance regarding PC, software and other necessary IT equipment (including network & conference call solutions) as well as perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve software and hardware related issues
• Active participation in different kinds of local and Nordic IT-projects
Key Qualifications
To be successful in the role as IT Support Technician, you are communicative and outgoing since you will be the primary contact for many of the Capacent's IT providers. In addition, you take initiative, are eager to learn and like to challenge and develop yourself. You have excellent oral and written skills in English.
Technical skills:
• Technical background, 1-3 years working with support and/or operations
• Experience using Microsoft products like Office 2016, Office 365, Sharepoint, Microsoft servers and Windows OS's
• Basic understanding of Active Directory: e.g. how to create users
• Experience with network equipment like routers, switches and firewalls
In addition, the following areas give additional merit
• Academic degree / BS in computer science or similar field
• Microsoft certifications like MCP/MCSA or MSCE
• Oral and written skills in Swedish
