Greenpeace Nordic is now looking for an IT Support Specialist to join our IT Operations team on a temporary basis. If you have the right profile, you burn with passion for IT support and you want to work for a just cause, we want to hear from you!

Your role:

As an IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the day to day support tasks of the Greenpeace Nordic help desk, supporting a wide range of devices, services and applications in all of our country offices across Scandinavia. The work involves engaging with users, answering questions, deploying and fixing hardware, troubleshooting problems, as well as developing the IT Operations internal processes. The Support Specialist should also provide and plan trainings to end users and colleagues for systems and services as directed by the IT Operations Team Lead.

Your work will be governed by IT policies, processes and procedures and it is expected that the role will contribute to the development of these. The IT Support Specialist role will be managed by the Head of IT but works under the operational task management of the Nordic IT Operations Team Lead and will be working in a daytime shift rotation.

Your responsibilities will also include:

Manage hardware procurement according to organizational standards and policies
Manage IT Operations projects as assigned by IT Operations Team Lead
Manage tasks assigned by IT Operations Team Lead
Ensure IT Operations processes are followed and continuously developed
Ensure supported IT assets are handled according to organizational standards and policies

Your education and experience:

Bachelor?s degree in IT and/or equivalent work experience
A minimum of three years of broad IT support work experience
Expert understanding of hard and software troubleshooting
Good understanding of IT Support processes and IT infrastructure
Good understanding of communication in an IT support role
Experience training users, preferably in a remote setting
Proficiency in procurement of hardware, software and services
Proficiency in the English language - proficient in a Nordic language(s) is an advantage
