We will launch a range of electric vehicles over next three years. Polestar 1 has been presented, and another two models, Polestar 2 and 3, have been announced and are already under development.

Polestar offers an exciting and challenging opportunity for somebody that can work within a global fast paced, start-up organisation, as they start the transformation from delivery into operations. This position will be responsible for leading the development and securing of the operational processes, resources and agreements to ensure our customer experience, end-to-end solutions and business operations is consistently operational. The role reports directly to the Head of IT Polestar, within a small but expanding organisation.

Due to our rapid business growth we are looking for a result-driven member to the IT team who is both self-driven and process driven, who wants to be part of building up something new, and who thrives in a changing environment.

What you will do

• A critical interface point between the Polestar business, the delivery teams and solution suppliers to successfully setup appropriate support agreements and processes, in advance of running the support.
• Define and secure suitable resource models and ways of working to bridge the gaps between Polestar IT, their supplier's and the Polestar business to ensure the organisation has the operational readiness to continually deliver business objectives and targets.
• Responsible for all operation contracts with suppliers, SLA's, maintenance frameworks are in place, and delivered.
• Take ownership for the creation and maintenance of appropriate application, infrastructure and technology support documentation.
• Supplier management to ensure IT operational service delivery within the commercial landscape (Digital & Enterprise, not the Industrial Landscape) and where appropriate chair operational reviews, and champion enhancements that enhance the operational capabilities.
• Ensure operational support models and resources is included within every solution delivery or major change programme. Will act as receiving party and take on ownership of solutions delivered by projects, in preparation for operational state
• Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams and suppliers if required to ensure swift resolution of major problems within SLA Targets and work proactively to prevent reoccurring incidents.
• Act as an escalation point for supplier performance issues, working with the persons responsible.

Skills and competencies suitable for the role

A proven strong track record of performing a similar role, with demonstrable skills managing and delivering operational positions within a ITIL framework.

The successful candidate is likely to have the following skills:

• Leadership skills, with at least 5 years in a senior management role
• Experience and qualified with appropriate ITIL foundations skills
• Good technical background with a desire to continue learning
• Exceptional stakeholder and supplier management expertise
• Knowledge of and experience of working in SCRUM/Agile delivery teams
• Educated to degree level or a recognized professional qualification
