Solution Delivery Unit Information Management/ Businesses Intelligence, is now looking for IT Data Architect with the main focus on Analytics and its related areas.
The IT Architect is a member of our global delivery teams, supporting both new development / project and production support, as the highest-level technology domain expert in Analytics and its related areas such as Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence.
Role mission & context
The Solution Center IM/BI (Information Management/Business Intelligence) delivers maintenance and development of Analytics solutions for the Volvo Group and external customers.
As one of the IT Architects, you are responsible for the assessment of business requirements; collection and identification of technical specifications; and the subsequent development of technological frameworks, guidelines and quality assurance process development.
Key responsibilities
• Act as an architect of Analytics, Big Data & Business intelligence systems and applications in projects and runtime
• Be part of/participate in critical and/or strategic projects
• Be a part and a driving force in the global development of the new Analytics service
• Secure and support the overall architectural quality
• Leverage and establish architecture disciplines to help ensure that business strategies align with the powerful capabilities of analytics
• Ensure compliance with Volvo's EA frameworks and standards and actively participate in developed and continuous improvement of the frameworks and standards
• Ensure correct Data modeling (Kimball and data vault) as well as code review and quality assurance of related deliveries
• Participate in reviews of architecture concepts and solutions
• Interact with support leads- and technical stakeholders to translate complex requirements into recommendations for appropriated solutions
• Develop documentation of system components in accordance with obligatory standards
• Support IT team in technical realization, testing, application's deployment and knowledge transfer to the IT support
• Support reduction of complexity in business processes, information, applications, integration and infrastructure
• Lead competence networks and communities both locally and globally
• Collaborate effectively with other Architects to solve cross solutions problem spanning their respective areas and resolve technological disagreement with informed, rational solutions
• Make strategic technology choices, directly supervising the quality of designs and implementation inside and between components

Wanted profile
The IT Architect in the IM/BI Solution Center needs to have strong knowledge in the field of Information Management. Analytical skills, both on the traditional/operational Analytics as well as Advanced Analytics is a must. The role requires an ability to work under demanding and changing conditions, ensuring good progress and development of the areas. As a person you are structured, innovative and have a strong customer focus in combination with a business oriented attitude. You enjoy teamwork; contribute with team spirit and strong sense of responsibility fulfillment.
Required Competencies
• A university degree in engineering or computer science or similar
• Minimum 5 years of experience in developing Analytics applications and models
• At least 3 years' experience in creating / maintaining systems architecture
• Strong knowledge in building analytical platforms, its ecosystems and frameworks in a cloud environment
• Practical experience of modeling: e.g. business modeling, process modeling, data modeling knowledge in Domain Driven Design
• Practical experiences in balancing process and solution perspectives to solve architecture specific concerns
• Strong experience working with industry-standard information management
• Experience with master data, Analytics data and data mining
• Analytical skills and data-driven mindset
• Familiar with different common tools used in analytics field
• Knowledge of design patterns and UML
• Practical knowledge of agile methodologies (SCRUM)
• Familiar with the concept of Data Governance
• Ability to transfer knowledge and teamwork
• Ability to establish and maintain good relations with your internal and external partners
• Strong communication skills, flexibility, independence and commitment
• Very good knowledge in English
