hela Sverige IT Sourcing and Purchasing is responsible for the Volvo Group supplier's relations and commercial agreements in the Information Technology sector. We are divided into two different organizations:
Vendor Management Office organized within Group IT responsible for the strategic supplier relationship and the segment strategies.
IPS IT Commodity (Indirect Products and Services) organized within Group Truck Purchasing and responsible for IT purchasing operations.
The IT purchasing community is staffed with 40 IT purchasing professionals located in Sweden, France, India, North America, China and Japan who purchase IT with a yearly spend over 5 billion SEK. We are organized by international competence centers having global responsibilities in their domains, and enjoy a diverse and teamwork oriented environment.
We use our IT market knowledge, our suppliers and our global agreements to provide Volvo Group's IT a unique competitive advantage, seeking for best market solutions and providing world-class IT supplier management.
Work description
• You will work together with the purchasing team and the Segment Manager in VMO. Your main objective is to manage and develop Volvo's supplier structure and relationships to maximize the benefit of Volvo's external IT spend
• You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of contracts and suppliers within the IT area including contracts related to a third party that is Volvo Group's Infrastructure partner, driving sourcing and supplier selection according to segment strategies and securing the Supplier and Stakeholder relationship
• You will also have a responsibility as part of your work to continuously develop the processes and way of working within the team
You will:
• Lead, negotiate and execute sourcing and purchasing activities according to the purchasing processes
• Implement contract & drive contract compliance, accountability for developing portfolio strategy and delivering business results.
• Manage Supplier relationships and act as Supplier Host for selected suppliers. Establish the strategy/positioning for the supplier in liaison with the segment owner
• Develop and manage the stakeholder relationships
• Act as advisor in related purchasing issues

Qualifications:
• Business acumen - knows how business works and how to make an impact
• Cost optimization - can identify and manage cost drivers end to end
• Project management and/or business process re-engineering experience
• Background in IT and/or purchasing - software and/or hardware, preferably commercial experience
• Very good negotiator
• Technical university degree, preferably within IT-related field
• Swedish & English, working level
