About the role
The IT Architect is pivotal in shaping our IT Operations and Global IT architecture. This role spans technical leadership, solution design, and issue resolution. Initially, the focus is on standardising our IT Operations, with future expansion into broader architectural responsibilities.
As an IT Architect at GANT, you'll be instrumental in our transformation journey focused on elevating our IT infrastructure to enterprise standards while streamlining and consolidating our systems.
Over time, your role will expand to include solution design outside of IT infrastructure, leveraging your broad IT expertise. In collaboration with our Enterprise Architects and other IT colleagues, you'll develop technical solutions that align with business objectives.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership: Lead internal and external resources in IT Operations, guiding architectural decisions.
Infrastructure Strategy: Contribute to an IT infrastructure plan that aligns with business goals and current tech trends.
Solution Design: Develop robust, scalable, and secure IT solutions across IT Operations, adhering to budget constraints.
Architectural Consistency: Maintain cohesive architecture; recommend standardization of practices.
Operational Support: Advise IT Operations Specialists and Service Managers on architectural issues.
Incident Resolution: Lead quick resolution of incidents to minimize business disruption.
Stakeholder Management: Engage with stakeholders, translating technical complexities and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Continuous Improvement: Keep current with tech trends and cultivate continuous improvement.
Enterprise Standards: Align IT practices with industry standards, ensuring operational excellence and security.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science; TOGAF, CISSP, or ITIL certifications are preferred.
Proven skills in architecture, technical leadership, and IT operations management.
Comprehensive understanding of IT components, including specific technologies like Nutanix Hybrid Cloud, Google Cloud Platform, Cisco Meraki, Microsoft SQL Server, FortiNet/FortiGate.
Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
Effective communication and stakeholder management.
English working proficiency is essential.
