The IT Transition assignment in IKEA includes taking responsibility in transition topics that spans across value chain and IT landscape. Examples are impact on data and data models when transitioning from current to new, how to manage coexistence between old and new technology and data models during transition, housekeeping activities including decommissioning and consolidation of legacy technology, find, test and implement solutions to support and facilitate transition scenarios, do impact and as-is analysis, and reverse engineer legacy technology and data models to support transition to new.

Do you have a passion and drive for IT and digital architecture, including how to solve challenges and dilemmas when transitioning from as-is to new?

As an IT Architect in the IT Transition area you will embark on an exciting journey in the digital transformation in IKEA. We are leading the development of solutions in the area of IT transition. This means taking lead in questions and transition related topics that span across our value chain and IT landscape with the responsibility to deliver solutions. It also means starting initiatives together with projects and programmes run in our core business processes to solve transition challenges. You will work in the IT Transition team and in close collaboration with colleagues from all involved parts of IKEA.
In close collaboration with other IT architects, domain architects and stakeholders you will shape ideas into concrete, robust and appropriate IT landscape architectures and transition roadmaps.
You will secure that the architecture reflects the requirements from many different stakeholders in the organisation and you will actively contribute to the resolution of conflicting requirements.
You will communicate your architecture and transition roadmaps to different stakeholders across organisations. You will ensure understanding and alignment across the IKEA value chain.
You will follow relevant policies, principles, rules and standards. If they are not contributing to business value, you will suggest revisions.
Pro-actively identify and advise on opportunities (such as new technology) in order to deliver better business result.
Influence IT suppliers with IKEA requirements.
Lead architecture activities within the assigned area together with solution architects and project leaders.
You will be partly responsible for contributing and developing the IT Transition framework that is a part of a shared delivery framework.
