The Global Operations & Quality organization consists of plants in Sweden, China and the US with global functions supporting, such as Supply Chain, Quality & Core Values, HR and Business control.

As an Intro Block Engineer you are responsible for the cross-functional coordination of product change introductions. The mission of the role is to safeguard quality through well prepared and aligned launches in close cooperation with functions in the Product Development, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Production, Sales and the Aftermarket areas. As an Intro Block Engineer you are also following up performance as well as driving continuous improvement forums.
Key responsibilities will be to:
• Secure active communication and cooperation about DCN (design change notice) cross-functionally in Penta and the Volvo Group
• Lead and coordinate work & activities in the Intro Block (IB) teams in order to secure successful implementation of maintenance DCNs
• Support & coach implementation of DCNs coming from Market Adaptations Projects or Quality updates
• Drive the DCN improvement forum
• Drive continuous improvements in the DCN process to secure overall efficiency and high quality in output
• Follow-up main KPIs as well as initiate and drive corrective actions in order to secure continuous improvements
• Establish close cooperation with GTT/GTO/GTP IB processes

• experience from product development and DCN/ product change introductions is a merit
• university degree in engineering, logistics, business administration or equivalent experience
• fluent in English & Swedish
