www.thulegroup.com The roof racks category is one of the Thule Group's core categories and we are the world market leader having the widest assortment of products and the largest car park coverage.
As a result of a reorganization we now are looking for a new Product Manager responsible for this category.
As Product Manager Roof Racks you will be the global lead responsible for managing and coordinating the Roof Racks portfolio for BA Outdoor & Bags Europe & Rest-of-World. You will be the product expert for the products in the category, supporting the Sales department with your product expertise and general market & category knowledge. Your key responsibilities will be to analyze the market, gather consumer insights, make competitive analyses and plan the product life cycle to ensure the strong development of the product category in a highly competitive market. As global lead you are also responsible for coordinating product development and lifecycle analysis with your product management counterparts responsible for the North and South American markets.
You will work in close cooperation with Sales, Marketing, Project Managers, Product Development, Products Managers and Operations. The position is based in our head office in Malmö, Sweden, and requires approximately 40 travel days annually. Regular over day travels to our facility in Hillerstorp, Sweden, is also a requirement.
To be successful in this role it is key that you are a strong project manager used to work with complex technical challenges, but also having a commercial mindset. Your ability to easily communicate, analyze data, conceptualize visions of the segment and excellent cooperation skills are other key ingredients in your personal profile. We work in an international environment where a high level of English is required. You have an academic degree in engineering, preferably with a major in mechanical engineering. You have at least 3 years of experience from a similar role as product manager and project management experience from product development, preferably from the car accessory industry. Documented project management certification and experience from leading in a matrix organization and in an international environment is advantageous.
