GTP Operation Powertrain Europe is committed to provide excellence to its internal customers and to continuously challenge the suppliers to bring additional savings and improvements to the Volvo Group.
As Operation Buyer, you will be responsible for a purchasing portfolio of Powertrain components delivered to GTO powertrain production plants. You will be part of a dynamic and integrated European buyer team located in Gothenburg and Lyon.
Responsibilities:
As Operation buyer, you will take major challenges to lead cross functional activities with key stakeholders in order to reduce cost.
• Manage a purchasing portfolio
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers in order to secure the best QDCF performance (QDCF: Quality, Delivery, Cost, Features)
• Drive supply chain optimization
• Perform purchasing activities related to production orders, logistics and financial flows to the suppliers
• Ensure implementation of contracts and agreements with suppliers
• Forecast prices evolution
• Manage risk mitigation and crisis activities
• Build and maintain a strong relationship with internal cross functional stakeholders such as Volvo plants, other buyers, product engineering, aftermarket, maintenance teams
• Lead Performance Reviews with suppliers

Overall requirements:
• Master of Science or Business Administration
• Valid work-permit for applied country if not citizen
• Excellent spoken and written English (Additional languages are given merit)
• Maximum of two years previous work-experience prior to or after graduation
• International experience is meriting
Education:
1st choice: MSc degree in Business and/or Engineering/ Supply Chain
