We are now, on behalf of one of our Clients, looking for an Interior Architect to join their team in Shanghai. As an Interior Architect you will be responsible for designing and creating interior spaces, using form and function as a guide. Besides the aesthetic focus you will also need to consider safety and functionality throughout your work. The job also contains Client relations and presentations, Project research, Sales consultations and implementation management.
Further you will need experience within the following areas:
• Participation of building/remodeling process from beginning to end
• Creation, presentation and implementation of design concepts according to a client?s spatial needs and wants.
• Create plans for a space; take into account interior construction, structural design, color schemes, ventilation, lighting and furnishings.
• Specialize in designing and building interiors for safety, functionality and aesthetics.
• Interact with different clients, additional architects/designers, construction teams and inspectors.
• Responsible for organizing the procurement of necessary materials, such as ventilation equipment, fixtures, furnishings, furniture and decorative items.
Experiences and personal qualities
• Strong written, oral and visual communication
skills.
• Good interpretation of verbal instructions and suggestions.
• Creative within the constraints of a budget.
• Excellent knowledge of computer design software (including AutoCAD) and
illustration techniques is a must.
• Knowledge about incorporating construction features (including plumbing,
electrical and other mechanicals) into the designs.
• Team-oriented attitude, attentions to details and ability to meet deadlines.
• Familiar with building codes and design
• Understanding for the durability and strength of building materials but also
is skilled in the use of light, color and textures in a space.
• Minimum Bachelor?s degree Interior Architecture or similar. A master?s degree
in Interior Architecture will make you more competitive.
• Awareness of federal, state and local building regulations in order to keep
the design up-to-code.
• Awareness of the environmental impact of design and up-to-date knowledge ofsustainability issues are a plus.
