We are looking for an infrastructure solution (or IT-) architect with good communication skills. You love to act as a mentor in different deliveries, to be innovative and support your colleagues.
The new Infrastructure Solution Area Designer (ISAD) will work in the area of integration infrastructure in our Platform team with executing operational plans, capacity management and act as a liaison with other platform teams in the IKEA IT landscape. The work is about presenting and executing integration platform life cycle plans and also to take part in compliancy and regulatory work which might affect our platform implementations. We believe that you are a person who enjoys working with many parallel activities and you always make sure that we stay on track with delivering excellent integration platform services.
As a person you have a big interest in technology specific in Integration technologies. From technologies today like WebMethods and Oracle Fusion Middleware with Linux and Oracle Databases underneath to new and future way of distributing data in our landscape, on-prem and on Cloud.
You come to us with a curious mind, enthusiasm and an interest in developing business and people. We expect that you have at least general Cloud computing knowledge such as SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, containers, Kubernetes etc. The work is about presenting and executing integration platform life cycle plans and also to take part in compliancy and regulatory work which might affect our platform implementations. We believe that you are a person who enjoys working with many parallel activities and you always make sure that we stay on track with delivering excellent integration platform services.
You have knowledge in following areas:
• Good knowledge and experience of products with assigned area, WebMethods and/or Oracle
Fusion Middleware.
• Knowledge of how to work within set processes, rules and guidelines.
• Knowledge of standard software domain and market.
• Knowledge of IKEA steering principles for IT, reference architectures and tools, technical
standards and platforms.
• Understand how the team contributes to IKEA sales and growth.
• Understand how the assignment contributes to the goals and deliverables of Production
Roadmap.
ABOUT THE JOB
We are now taking the next steps in building up the function Platform Integrations Services, therefore we need you to join us on an inspirational and fun journey to create the best Integration Services for IKEA.
As an Infrastructure Solution Area Designer (ISAD) in the Integration Services - platforms you will, together with a team of Product Specialists, spearhead the work of presenting and building new instances of our integration environments. You will interact with application architects to ensure that new integration solutions are compliant with required service levels. You will support Infrastructure Managers in their work. You will actively drive Operational LCM work and Service Level compliancy work within the IKEA IT ways of working.
And of course, it will be a lot of fun!
Further on, you will:
• Within relevant infrastructure area, make sure that the design complies with IKEA business
needs and requirements that have been agreed upon in the service governance forum.
• Take active leadership to assure the end-to-end design/solution for the assigned area including
dependency systems.
• Responsible that the solution area meets future needs and confirms to all strategic and steering
documents within IKEA (e.g. IT Strategy, Target Infrastructure Landscape etc.).
• Make sure that the design is aligned with IT requirements regarding IT architecture and complies
with signed SLA agreements within the relevant area.
• Responsible for making sure that all functional and non-functional requirements are fulfilled
within assigned area.
• Guide projects on how to integrate with and use the service within assigned area having the
consumer in focus.
• Actively strive towards compliance within assigned area.
• Quality assure all design artefacts with assigned area.
• Perform cost and benefit analysis to determine the most appropriate design to meet specified
requirements.
• Be a member of Change Control Boards as a Subject Matter Expert.
