Business & Application Services (BAS) is responsible for maintaining and supporting Volvo Car Groups total application portfolio in the most effective, robust and secure way as part of our application lifecycle management responsibility. We also provide subject matter experts to support and enable operational development.
CAD/Product Data Management (PDM) Concept & Change provides expert knowledge to CAD and PDM project. We are also conducting concept- and pre-studies, as well as support the maintenance organizations in the CAD/PDM domain with investigations and problem solving.
As an Information Architect - CAD/PDM (Product Data Management)/BOM (Bill of Material), you will drive product and process improvements and delivery of design and architectural strategies. You will be an integrated part in defining solutions for CAD/BOM and PDM project. You will also develop and sustain architectural guidelines and principles for information management in the domain.
Main Responsibilities:
* Continuously develop and maintain the information architecture for information management within the CAD/PDM/BOM area
* Champion effective use of information architecture standards and techniques within the CAD/PDM/BOM area
* Evaluate and follow changes to implemented information models in utilized software in the CAD/PDM/BOM area at VCC in particular and in the domain in general
* Evaluate solution proposals and ensures adherence to architecture standards
* Collaborate with other Architects to develop strategies for use of new technologies or patterns within existing and future IT applications
Required Qualifications:
* Relevant university degree within information technology, computer science or equivalent working experience
* At least 7-10 years of relevant experience within PLM and/or Information Architecture
* Experience from designing high performing and sustainable solution architectures within the Bill of Material/CAD/Product Data Management area
* Be able to act as leader for other architects
* Experience in development and management of information architectures
* Good business acumen and interest of automotive business processes
Preferred Qualifications:
* Automotive Experience
* Knowledge of Teamcenter and CATIA

* Strategic and holistic perspective when examining a challenge
* Capacity to work independently and focus on expected deliveries
