The Mariestad factory is the largest refrigerator and freezer factory in Northern Europe. It is a modern and highly mechanized plant with about 500 employees working in various departments such as Production, Controlling, IT, Engineering, Quality, R&D, Purchase, HR and Facility.
Objectives:
As an Industrial Engineer you are part of the industrial engineering team in the factory. The overall scope of the position is to optimize operations, both machinery/equipment and work processes, embracing "EMS" (Electrolux Manufacturing System) to meet business and plant goals.
Key operational responsibilities
• Use time measurement and working methodologies to optimize production line set up . Continuously improve labour productivity . Design work place layout ensuring ergonomics and workplace safety . Participate in solving daily industrial issues . Support or drive industrial engineering projects in the plant . Network with other technical staff on site and within the global business
Competencies needed:
Education: . Bachelor/Master's degree in industrial engineering or equivalent.
Technical Skills: . Engineering experience from both the assembly and automated industry is a plus. . Knowledge of lean production (balancing, tools and methods)
• Good understanding of economics and its context . Good IT knowledge
Soft Competencies: . Good communicational and presentational skills . Structured and with good documentation skills . Great analytic ability . A multicultural mindset with a great ability to adapt to change . Good co operational skills
