Semcon is now looking for a highly skilled industrial designer to our talented team located in Stockholm. As a consultant at Semcon you will work with our exciting costumers mainly witihin the industrial equipment and consumer goods industries.

Job description:

• Detail and finalize product design for various products.
• Ability to visualize, own, and execute the creation of an experience from initial concept to collaborating with engineers for preparation for production.
• Transform concepts and sketches into polished and though-through deliverables.
• Work with technical teams to understand capabilities and limitations.
• Provide input to technical teams during development phase.
• Collaborate with team members and help translate user feedback/test into optimized iterations.

Skills & Experience:

• Degree in Industrial Design, or other relevant fields.
• Min 2 years of professional experience designing industrially manufactured products.
• Excellent hands-on expertise on latest versions of Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.
• Strong CAD modelling skills, including modelling of complex surfaces.
• Excellent understanding of user-centered design disciplines and principles.
• Experience in creating elegant and efficient designs.
• Very good communication skills, both verbally and through visualizations and sketches.
• Understanding of interaction principles, human behavior and market trends a plus.
• Strong visual design portfolio.
• Systematic and thorough while open-minded and experimental.
• Ability to solve complex design problems with elegance, simplicity and a dash of poetry.
