Are you interested in image processing, software and optics? Would you like to work with network camera projects for the market leader in network video? If that is the case, we have an interesting job that offers a great deal of variation and technical challenges.
What will you do?
As an imaging engineer for industrialisation, you are an engineer with a special focus on image quality such as image processing, algorithms, and optics. For this particular position, you will be working closely with the camera projects in the industrialisation phase on topics where the product imaging engineers require your expert knowledge on production of optical modules. Some days you will have to be in your problem-solving mode, and other days you need to come up with completely new ways of doing things.
The position involves a great deal of variation and interaction with many different parts of Axis and you will have a large influence on the Axis' product quality and future profitability.
The team
PTS is a team in the Research & Development department responsible for the software in our production systems. We develop and maintain software that allows Axis to control the production flow and ensures that we consistently and efficiently manufacture products with excellent quality. This includes software for production systems and production test systems, and tools for production follow-up.
The team works closely with Operations, the part of the organisation responsible for producing all Axis products.
Who are we looking for?
We believe the right candidate has a Master's degree in engineering physics, electronics, computer science, or equivalent. You are fluent in both English and Swedish and have some experience of programming. It is an advantage if you have worked with image processing and/or optics related topics in previous roles, but if you have just recently graduated you are also very welcome to apply since you will be part of a knowledgeable team that will support you. It is of merit if you have experiences in areas like manufacturing, production systems, embedded systems, and Python.

For this role, we are looking for someone who is a technically minded and curious problem solver with an ability to handle several topics at the same time. You will be driving your own tasks within Axis and we therefore expect you to take initiatives and think proactively.
