hela Sverige Volvo Group is searching for a key player to the Headquarter function Group Accounting & Consolidation. In this position you work close to the business in order to advice and decide on financial, accounting and reporting implications.
Group Accounting & Consolidation is responsible for the internal and external financial reporting, including related processes, for the Volvo Group. This responsibility includes ownership of accounting instructions, time tables, structures in financial systems and development of accounting policies (IFRS). We work in close co-operation with the other functions at AB Volvo as well as all the business areas.
Position Summary
The Volvo Group has two IFRS specialists who work together as a team. The IFRS Specialist is key to make sure that the Volvo Group's Financial Reporting and external Reports are in line with IFRS by very good knowledge in IFRS standards as well as how to interpret those into daily business transactions and processes. The work includes managing and prepare for upcoming changes in external reporting requirements. The role is frequently involved in different kind of business projects, such as M&A and change projects, to be of support and secure appropriate accounting treatment. A prerequisite for success is to develop and maintain an effective cooperation with a number of stakeholders across the Volvo Group, including Investor Relations and Corporate Finance, and to explain accounting standards to other parts of Finance and Volvo management.
The IFRS Specialist will report to VP Head of Group Accounting & Consolidation.
Main Activities and Responsibilities
• Implement and/or follow up Volvo Group policies, strategies and procedures and ensure legal compliance in applicable areas
• Actively contribute to - and participate in - all relevant decision fora and later on in a timely manner implement decisions made.
• Support business projects and transactions with accounting advice
• Efficiently cooperate with and support other parts of Finance
• Keep up to date with external reporting requirements and plan and contribute in how to implement needed changes in the reporting to be compliant
• Be part of internal and external accounting networks such as NRG
• Review, develop and be part of preparing the Volvo Group External Reports

Critical Competencies for the Position
• Very good understanding of IFRS, reporting and processes.
• 3-5 year of experience preferably from an audit firm or similar
• Ability to work independently
• University degree in relevant financial field(s).
• Experience from multi-cultural and global finance operations..
• Problem-solving abilities, analytical- and communication skills.
• Strong personal integrity and credibility
• Proficiency in English and Swedish required.
• The position includes occasional travel
