Global Test Environment Center (GTEC) Stockholm is the primary GTEC for IMS and Cloud solutions with the main responsibility to provide remote infrastructure to Ericsson regions and external parties/partners. We are now looking for a Senior IMS ICT Engineer to be part of an energetic and professional team of highly skilled IMS ICT Engineers.
The ICT Engineer plans and operates the software and hardware solutions for our users. The ICT Engineer secures a stable Environment and optimizes the solutions/services to the agreed service levels in a cost efficient and timely manner.
The ICT Engineer will get the opportunity to meet a lot of different challenging technologies by deploying/configuring/maintaining the necessary IMS network nodes both on native and cloud setup.
An example, is the complex communications solution named VoLTE and its interoperability with the circuit switched networks (2G/3G PLMN, PSTN) - SRVCC, RCS, or multi-vendor interoperability of UEs with IMS (multi-media telephony services implementation and configuration).
The IMS product portfolio are in a transformation towards to support Virtual Network Functions (VNFs) which means we are entering the very interesting area of Cloud based solutions.
Responsibilities & Tasks:
Install and operate Nodes
Configure and integrate nodes and solutions into networks (new and existing)
Technical support and troubleshooting of internal and external customers
Maintain a stable environment and optimize the network as necessary
Contribute and implement continuous improvements in the organization
Develop solutions and tools based on technical requirements
Drive and implement cost effective solutions
Core Competences:
High knowledge (installation/operation) of all or a subset of the IMS nodes (CSCF, HSS, MTAS, SBG, MGC, MGW, MRS, IPWorks).
Knowledge in IMS signaling scenarios (Registration, SIP2SIP calls)
Experience in troubleshooting process. Including protocols such as SIP, DIAMETER, H.248, etc
Knowledge in virtualization platforms (VMWare, VirtualBox, etc)
Knowledge in IP networking
IT Processes, IT Tools & Infrastructure Knowledge
