Bladins is a school with five different sections - Swedish Montessori Pre-school (with bilingual section), Swedish Compulsory School, International School, Upper Secondary School and After School Department. Bladins is a foundation. A foundation is a legal entity and has, as opposed to associations and companies, no members or owners. The foundation is a non-profit-making organization and any profit will go straight back into the school. The Board is the Foundation's highest decision-making body. The foundation is supervised by Länsstyrelsen i Skåne Län (The County Administrative Board).
Bladins International School of Malmö (BISM) is an authorized IB World School and offers both PYP and MYP programs as well as an international bilingual preschool. Our students come from 47 different countries and their very diverse backgrounds contribute to our open-minded, multicultural and caring atmosphere. Students find it easy to settle in and very quickly become part of our school community. And that is important. Students who feel comfortable at school are more likely to learn successfully.

Arbetsuppgifter(Your Role)
Are you passionate about educational leadership and learning development?
Are you looking to help lead an established and thriving IB school with a clear vision into an even brighter future? As IB Primary Principal at BISM (F-6) your mission is to support your staff in the process of further developing the school's quality work, culture and brand based on our students and focus on learning.
Your role is both strategic and operative and involves, for example, finding ways to effectively link the IB to Swedish school laws as well as communicate with both internal and external stakeholders. The PYP department consists of ca 300 students and 30 employees where you will also be responsible for the department's budget, work environment, quality management and questions related to Swedish labor laws.
To support you in your role as IB Primary Principal, BISM offers support functions and collaborations with the Head of School, MYP Principal, PYP and Fritids Coordinators, Student Support Team as well as HR, Finance and Quality Controller. Furthermore, you are a part of the Bladins School Management Team which meets regularly. As a leader at an IB school, you will be involved in networking with other IB schools in your region as well as offered continuous training and competence development.
Profil(Your profile)
Do you have school leadership experience with a passion for learning? Do you have an understanding/experience of international schools? Do you have good insight into Swedish school laws? Then this could be the job opportunity you've been waiting for! We are looking for someone with exceptional communication skills who enjoys leading by example. As a leader, you understand the importance of building strong and collaborative relationships with others and proactively reach out to others to achieve your common goals.
You are an experienced, stable and brave leader with a strong value-ground founded on a student-focus who knows how to lead their team towards common goals but also not afraid to challenge and coach in order to develop each individual's competence. One of your strengths is creating structure and clarity for others through a process-based approach when leading the development of the primary department.
You are a trained educator as well as have completed, are attending or interested in completing the Swedish Principal Training (Rektorsutbildning). Ideally, you have previous experience from an international context. You must, however, be interested in learning about the IB approach with regard to enquiry- and project-based learning as well as subject-integrated themes.
