http://www.ybc-nacka.sePubliceringsdatum2012-05-08ArbetsuppgifterYBC is seeking an IB Coordinator who is prepared to think creatively and take new directions for implementing the IB Diploma in a modern school setting. Together YBC aims to develop and modernize the Diploma programme incorporating the key ideas of both YBC's and IB's mission statements.
As well, the IB Coordinator will fulfill the normal requirements in administering the Diploma programme. The position may be combined with teaching duties if one is qualified and certified (Sw: behörig) in one or several of the IB subjects - Mathematics, English, Spanish or Swedish.
KvalifikationerWe seek a person with:
• Very strong understanding of the IB Diploma programme (curriculum and syllabuses, assessments both internal and external, administrative formalities, examinations etc.
• Experience of developing educational programmes and the ability to enthuse fellow teachers and students
• Good leadership qualities and ability to communicate well
• Command of the Swedish and English languages (preferably English as native tongue)
• High level of pedagogical experience and competence
• High levels of skills in IT, especially in its application in education
• The ability to initiate, lead and organize liaison with external and/or international players on the educational scene, the business sector and universities and colleges
