IA & IP Professional
The shift in society to a knowledge based economy and the shift of SKF to a knowledge engineering company lead to new business conditions in which the role of technology based Intellectual Property (IP) and technology based Intellectual Assets (IA) have increased in importance.
• Intellectual Assets? is a strategic function within Group Intellectual Assets & Intellectual Property, supporting SKF?s technology development and exploitation and its intersections to management, IP law, and business economics. The unit has a global responsibility for developing, implementing and improving Intellectual Asset Management and IP strategies within the SKF Group.
Key Tasks
A successful applicant will provide support to SKF units globally by
• Working with technology from a techno economic perspective
• Mapping technology based Intellectual Assets
• Assessing, visualizing and improving technology control positions of products and technology, including assessing and developing SKF's IP and patent portfolios
• Developing, implementing and improving IA tools, processes, trainings etc.
• Developing, implementing and improving IP strategies, IP strategy tools, processes, trainings etc.
• Supporting exploitation of SKF technology from an Intellectual Asset viewpoint
• Strategic IA & IP counseling
Requirements
• University degree in engineering or equivalent, preferably in Mechanics, Physics or Electronics. A degree from an Intellectual Capital Management Masters or courses is an advantage.
• Experience in Intellectual Asset Management and/or Intellectual Property strategy.
• Strong business orientation.
• A proactive and self-driven person.
• Good communication skills. Being fluent in English is a prerequisite.
• Ability to work in a global team and willingness to travel.
