We are looking for a Hydraulic Engineer within hydraulics and power distribution to join our Research & Development (R&D) Concrete Spraying department at the Underground Rock Excavation (URE) division at Epiroc in Örebro.

Job Description
The hydraulic systems has important role in our products for Concrete Spraying. We are now looking for a system-oriented engineer that is eager to develop our hydraulic systems towards even better functionality, safety, energy and cost -efficiency. The different subsystems is becoming more and more integrated which create new possibilities for innovative thinking.
New technologies, automation and the use of electrical motors as the main power source makes room for new concepts, control strategies and dimensioning criteria's. Analyzing different system concepts and architectures, control strategies and components in terms of e.g. performance, efficiency and drivability towards different driving cycles will be a key part of the work. Verifying the performance of the final product is also part of the work. The right candidate will have great opportunities to contribute to the coming generation of products.
Today we are a small team so you will be the R&D's representative regarding hydraulics in different product and basic development projects. You achieve the goals and targets via continuous dialogue with colleagues and stakeholders, combined with a development work. You have good possibilities to influence how to plan the work. You will work with the complete chain, from the first concept to follow up the final product as well as continuous dialogs with different component suppliers.
Experience and knowledge
We believe you have an analytical approach and a system oriented mindset. You have a good knowledge of power distribution component's characteristics and how to combine, dimension and control them in order to find the best compromise in terms of performance, efficiency etc. Experience from mobile equipment and functional development are meritorious.
Education Requirements
You should have a documented academic background within relevant area or other highly qualified engineering background. You preferably have educational background within hydraulics.
Personality
To enjoy the work, it is important to have a genuine interest in technology and a desire to learn more about the products you are working with. Our design work is conducted in large own freedom and responsibility. These tasks requires many contacts both internally and externally, good interpersonal and communications skills are required to do the job. A good knowledge in English both written and spoken is required for the role. You preferably also have knowledge in Swedish.
