You will be actively involved in the set-up and development of ABB Group's Center of Expertise (CoE) for Assurance, Risk and Internal Control which will provide our business with oversight, expertise and process improvements.
You will lead an engaged and highly skilled team in an Assurance, Risk and Internal Control hub, responsible for serving our Local Business Units, Local Products Groups and Corporate Functions in a geographical and management dimension. In addition, you will support global Assurance, Risk and Internal Control projects based on special requests. In your role, you are responsible for the following main areas:
• Provide leadership and oversight as 2nd line of defense to ensure operational management maintains a robust risk and control environment together with the team in the hub.
• Provide risk management and control design expertise: be a business partner, cooperate closely with businesses and functions and support them in implementing Internal Control solutions in their area of responsibility.
• Support process design enhancements to standardize processes and controls (in coordination with Global Finance Process Owners) to simplify and rationalize the control environment, also encouraging the use of technology.
• Assist in the implementation of Group wide changes in Internal Control methodology end ensure that the methodology is maintained.
• Share expertise and educate all levels of local organization on the importance of risk and controls.
You are a confident leader with strong intercultural skills and the courage to manage challenges appropriately. With your service-oriented mindset and your can-do attitude, you have a solid commitment to quality and continuous improvement. This you combine with strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills which enables you to independently draw conclusions. You are also flexible and know how to effectively work under pressure and within tight deadlines. With your collaborative and communicative skills, you can influence both internally and externally.
To succeed, you need at least eight years' experience in finance, audit or internal control related areas. Good business knowledge and experience in the area of process improvements is also required. Furthermore, you have solid understanding of internal controls methodology, practices and US GAAP, as well as knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP. If you have international business experience and good project management skills, it is a plus. Professional qualification equivalent to CPA/CIA/CISA is also an advantage. Fluency in English is a must, written and spoken alike. Proficiency in additional Scandinavian languages is preferable.
